Are we listening to older australians?
Welcome
The voices of older Australians are set to resonate around the land as their numbers grow in keeping with their expectations for care and services to support them as they age.
Is our industry listening? Are governments, bureaucrats, political parties listening? Are younger generations listening?
Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA) 2011 National Conference theme – Are we listening to older Australians? - will seek to turn up the volume so we not only listen, but act.
ACSA is the national peak body representing faith-based and not-for profit residential and community aged care organisations providing care, services and accommodation for older people, people with a disability and their carers.
2011 is set to be a watershed for aged care reforms – help us make it a milestone for older Australians seeking more choice and greater access to the care and support they want and need.
Our goal
Our goal this year is to involve older people and consumer organisations, to listen to their stories, influence the Government’s priorities and actions on aged care and define the path ahead for providers.
